Aged Care Plus values the positive difference that volunteers make to the lives of our residents and staff. We recognise that the unique talents, experience and efforts of our volunteers can provide enjoyment and a sense of community for our residents.
By becoming a volunteer, you’re making a valuable contribution to society. But you’ll also be surprised to learn that you’ll get something back - intangible learning experiences that are more valuable than you might initially expect.
Many of our volunteers have gained a sense of achievement, lasting memories and positive connections within our caring communities. To learn about an opportunity in your local area, please search via the Volunteering Opportunities search tool.
There are many opportunities to make a difference at our centres, whether it’s gardening, support with recreational activities, bus driving or any other task. Every little contribution can make a big difference to our staff and residents. To find out more, please see our open opportunities.
The Salvation Army is a group of dedicated, compassionate and down to earth people. We’re committed to making a positive difference to the lives of others and volunteers are no exception. We’ll invite you to become part of our community where you’ll feel right at home from your first day.
We recognise that every volunteer can bring their talent, experience and knowledge to our centres. Some of our volunteers have provided entertainment, gardening services or even recreational activities for residents. We’re always open to volunteers registering interest – so please register via the form on this page.
The Aged Care industry offers many paid job opportunities from nursing, centre management, administration and more. If you’re studying nursing or just considering an opportunity in the aged care industry, volunteering is a great way to get real life industry experience.
We are always on the lookout for new talent – particularly with care services and nursing – so we strongly encourage you to register your interest using the form on this page.
Every volunteer is provided with an induction kit from The Salvation Army.
At the centre you’ll learn how to communicate effectively with residents and learn about the aged care industry in general. Where possible, your volunteer coordinator will provide you with more information about the tasks involved with your volunteering opportunity.
